BIO
Sharon Schindler is a photographer from Newton, Massachusetts. She began her photography career when she received her first camera at the age of twelve. Sharon has studied business and photography at Boston University and studio photography at The Art Institute of Boston.
Capturing the essence of Boston and beyond with her vibrant images printed on wood, Sharon connects the viewer with her interpretation of the scene by combining the elements of photography and birch wood. With her unique focus of attention and her photographer’s eye she uplifts the ordinary and everyday into things of beauty.
“In my work I explore the interplay of light, nature and the physical media of my photographs. My goal is to incorporate the form of the finished work into my art.
I continue to document the changing world around us through my exploration of architecture and vintage collectibles. In printing my photography on birch wood I aim to add a new dimension to the viewing experience.”
