FOR ARTISTS
We are always open to discovering new artists and new artwork for our gallery shows.
While some of our shows are by invitation only, we will often have an exhibition with an ‘open’ call for entries. These will be sent to our Artist Mailing List and details are also posted below.
(If you’d like to be added to our Artists Mailing List, sign up here!)

“JOURNEY”
Are We Nearly There Yet?
We are excited to be planning our upcoming exhibition and are writing to invite you to submit images for consideration.
The theme can be interpreted very broadly... so don't pass without reading on!
Submissions are due with a July 28th deadline.‘JOURNEY'
A THEMED SHOW
September 18 - October 11, 2026
Opening Reception
Saturday, September 19 @5pmYou can submit work in any media, size, format or style.
AS ALWAYS....
We seek a diverse range of work, 2D and 3D, varying in size, (large is fine, we can accommodate quite a few large-scale pieces) and in a variety of media, subject matter, and price.
We'll select abstract, realistic, and everything in between.
WHAT ARE WE THINKING?
We'd like to include all these broad interpretations of the theme:- Artwork relating to a physical journey to a physical place, a destination near or far (As near as your yard, as far as the other side of the world, and beyond!)
- Work that relates to a means of transport used for such a journey
- Work reflecting a journey which is internal: Emotional, mental, spiritual, etc
- Work resonating with the theme 'Journey of Life': Personal transformation, growth, healing, self-discovery etc
- Migration themed work (human, animal, bird etc)
- Work including or referencing maps, tickets, journal pages, etc
We're thinking rivers, stairs, doors, openings, trails, a winding path etc
- Journeys embarked on by humans or by other creatures, snail trails, bees foraging; maybe vining plants or roots, etc
- Work inspired by or initiated by 'taking a line for a walk'
- NB: 'Journey' may be a noun or a verb
- Maybe you have your own alternative interpretation of 'Journey'? We encourage creative interpretations of the theme!
As always we seek a dynamic selection of varied work. Our taste is eclectic and we aim to offer something appealing to all our diverse art-viewers and art-buyers.
TO DO:
SEND IMAGE FILES FOR CONSIDERATION
We encourage you to send us digital images for consideration via email ( info@gallerytwist.com ) . (Ideally images of 5 pieces or more, although less is fine... and as many as you like.)
Send them as soon as you like, and by Tuesday, July 28th latest.
(You'll be informed shortly thereafter if your work is selected. (By Friday, July 31st, latest.)
Please also label files to include pertinent info:
name_title_media_size_price.jpg
e.g. ROSS_Wandering_Monotype_15x15_$500.jpg
File size is flexible; around 1MB is good as a rough guide.
If you haven't shown work here before, please give us an idea of how you frame or otherwise present your work for gallery display.
MORE INFO
The gallery's commission on any work sold is 35%.
There is no fee for submitting work for consideration.
N.B. We usually select a little more work than we know we actually have space for. This gives us flexibility while hanging the show, and allows us to have extra work on hand to ‘fill gaps’ when visitors purchase pieces they want to take right away (for gifts etc). All work selected will be included in the online version of the show.
We do sell well, so pretty much all the work selected makes it into the gallery space before the show concludes.Once work is selected, we'd be grateful if you don't make it available for sale in any other venue, either in person or online.
Also, please be consistent in your pricing (so that the pricing you give us is the same as the pricing offered in all other venues, including your studio and/or online) Thanks.
DROP OFF
If work is selected we will send you an inventory form - please bring it along signed and filled out on:
Thursday August 20, 10am - 4pm
or
Friday August 21, 10am - 4pm
or at another time on those days by appointment.
(You can also deliver work any time before these dates, just let us know when is best for you.)
