The three works currently at Gallery Blink for the Winter Promise Exhibit are from my mixed-media series Diverse Fusions that combine monoprints and/or screenprints with beeswax on wood panel. They explore the ‘wabi sabi’ philosophy that holds that “nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect.” I have a passion for the celebration of the transient and temporality.

Susan Paladino lives in Boston and has a studio on Beacon Hill.  She comes from a printmaking background and studied at the Museum School and Artists Students League in New York.   She is a member of New England Wax and Cambridge Art Association.

Currently Susan instructs printmaking workshops at both Cambridge Adult Education Center and the Provincetown Art Association.  Her previous work was primarily figurative and explored Netsuke (miniature Japanese sculptures).  In early 2014, she explored the Eastern influences by merging various materials, and, in particular encaustic medium. She is moving over to abstraction by mixing various techniques of printmaking and painting, together with a fresh fusion of different materials.
