We live in a time of rapid change and constant flux. Technology moves forward faster than our ability to adapt to the information it produces. For me it is a time of fragmentation and noise. By using collage as my method and print media that represents language as my materials I am trying to visually ‘nail down’ some of that confusion.

I have often used thread imagery in my work to represent continuity and commonality. Thread is a material that is found or produced throughout the world and throughout time. I find comfort in using it as a symbol that represents common ground.
