BIO

Lorraine is a graphic designer, mixed media artist and storyteller. She retired, after thirty-two years of teaching, and now enjoys working with her treasure trove of found objects. A lifelong collector of weird stuff, things found by the side of the road and flea markets finds, she combines found objects with vintage photographs to create something new but familiar. Lorraine shares her experiences as a child, a woman, a student, a teacher and a mother. Her wry, humorous narratives often come from a personal place but present a universal experience. Lorraine received a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and was awarded Distinguished Teacher for Excellence in Education by Mass Art. Her work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions, small group and solo shows.

I work with objects of uncertain provenance to create new things from the past.
